Range connection — Alpha Gas Services, Jacksonville FL

Converting a kitchen to gas is one of our most requested jobs. We run a new line to the range or cooktop location, install the shut-off valve and flexible connector, and test the burners. If your appliance was made for a different fuel, we install the manufacturer's conversion kit so it burns correctly on natural gas or propane.

Dryers, wall ovens, water heaters and space heaters get the same care: a correctly sized line, a code-compliant valve and a leak test before we leave.

What we install

  • Gas range, cooktop and wall oven hookups
  • Electric-to-gas kitchen conversions
  • Appliance conversions: natural gas to propane and back
  • Gas dryer connections

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to what customers ask us most. Anything else? Call or text and we'll walk you through it.

My kitchen is electric. Can I switch to a gas range?

Yes. We run a gas line to the range location from your meter or a propane tank, install the valve and connect the range. Your electrician may need to add a standard outlet for the igniter.

My new range is set up for natural gas but I have propane. Can you convert it?

Yes. We install the manufacturer's conversion kit, adjust the burners and verify the flame.

Do you connect dryers?

Yes — a gas dryer needs its own line with a shut-off valve and a flexible connector; we install and test it.

How long does a range hookup take?

If the line is nearby, usually a few hours. A new line from the meter is typically a one-day job.
